Allentown, PA (10/08/2022) — Rebecca Zickerman '24 spent her summer administering a survey that designed was this past spring and analyzing the data and summarizing it in a research paper. The goal was to determine if there are specific health communication differences that exist when people with invisible disabilities seek medical care and communicate with their primary healthcare provider through telehealth appointments compared to in-person visits. Rebecca accomplished this goal primarily through analyzing the responses from the survey that I administered.
"This has been an incredible experience and I am really excited about applying the knowledge and skills that I have gathered to my further medical and/or public health research endeavors. The disparities in medial care for people with disabilities is a growing concern and needs to be addressed in order to provide the most equitable care."
