Students Earn Bachelor's Degrees from Muhlenberg College
Muhlenberg's Class of 2025 will celebrate commencement on Sunday, May 18, 2025 at 10 a.m., in the PPL Center (Allentown). Ceremony speakers include award-winning psychologist and Muhlenberg honorary degree winner, Beverly Daniel Tatum, Ph.D., President Kathleen E. Harring, Ph.D., and graduating students Teigan Brown (Bachelor of Science degree in neuroscience) and Christine Compton (Bachelor of Business Administration). An honorary degree will also be awarded to alumna Jacy Good '08.

Women's Lacrosse Places Four on All-CC Team
Following one of the most successful seasons in program history, four Muhlenberg players earned spots on the All-Centennial Conference women's lacrosse team. Seniors Jillian Kubikowski and Emily Vaughan made the first team, giving the Mules two first-team selections for the first time since 2018. Sophomore Emma Youngling was a second-team pick, and junior Abba Diglio received honorable mention.

Muhlenberg Athletes Recognized for Sportsmanship
Ten Muhlenberg College athletes were recognized for their behavior on the field, course, court and track with their selection to the 2025 Spring All-Centennial Conference Sportsmanship Team. Established by the conference's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), the All-Sportsmanship Team honors a member from each squad who displayed good sportsmanship throughout their career.

Senior Dana Scholars at Muhlenberg College choose a faculty mentor and partake in year-long rigorous academic inquiry on issues of public concern -- and present their collaborative research at the college's Dana Forum, late in their final spring semester. Projects that serve the community are strongly encouraged.

Four graduating seniors presented original capstone artwork during the annual Senior Art Exhibition this spring, in the Muhlenberg College Center for the Arts, Martin Art Gallery.

A public relation's internship has shown Media and Communication major, Marie Tohill, what her career may look like. "Interns at ArtsQuest are just as much a part of the action as the full-time staff. Right now, we are gearing up for Musikfest, the nation's largest free music festival, which will take over the ArtsQuest campus - and the rest of Bethlehem - from July 31 to August 10. I've written press releases to announce upcoming events, including headlining artists coming to perform at Musikfest. Additionally, I am working on an article for the ArtsQuest magazine, Inside ArtsQuest, about our relationship with a local supporter of our capital campaign. "

Academic awards are bestowed each spring at Muhlenberg College's annual Honors Convocation -- a formal academic ceremony designed to honor and celebrate leadership and scholarly excellence and achievement in the college community. This year's convocation was held on Sunday, April 27, in Egner Chapel.

Cunningham was among the founding members of A-Town Records, a student-run record label and music association. She also conducted research in music and held an internship with a record label during her semester in Dublin.

Muhlenberg Students Present Research for PA Academy of Sciences
Accompanied by Associate Professor of Biology Giancarlo Cuadra, Ph.D., several Muhlenberg College students presented research at the PA Academy of Sciences meeting in Harrisburg, Pa., during the organization's 100th anniversary this spring. Sophie Tomov was awarded second place for best poster presentations (out of a field of roughly 200 presentations), and was awarded a grant to move forward in research on the "Effects of Cinnamon E-liquids on OKF6 Cell Toxicity and Death." Maya Tabakha was also awarded a grant to research "Phagocytosis, Escape and Invasion of Porphyromonas gingivalis under E-liquid Treatments." Both will take on their research with their Muhlenberg College biology lab mentor, Giancarlo Cuadra, Ph.D.

Danielle Costanzo Receives Omicron Delta Kappa Scholarship
Danielle Costanzo (Muhlenberg College, 2019) is a 2022-23 recipient of an Omicron Delta Kappa Sally K. Albrecht Arts Scholarship. Costanzo graduated magna cum laude from Muhlenberg College. She earned a Bachelor of Arts with a double major in dance science and theatre. During her time at Muhlenberg, she was a course tutor for anatomy and kinesiology, biology of movement, and biological and abnormal psychology classes. In addition, Costanzo served as a panelist for new admission recruits and was very active as a performer in multiple dance and theatre productions. She was secretary for the Muhlenberg College Circle and helped organize and promote circle service projects and create awareness of ODK for prospective members. Costanzo is also a member of Phi Beta Kappa. Costanzo has been involved in community activities, including a term serving as the Model World Health Organization president and as a volunteer for the Art Therapy program for her local hospital and the National Alliance for Mental Illness. She is pursuing a Master of Arts at Rider University in the clinical mental health counseling program, with a concentration in dance and movement therapy. Costanzo hopes to help others through creativity and the healing method of movement.
