Gabrielle McCabe '24 works as the costume shop management intern at the Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival
Allentown, PA (10/12/2022) — Over the summer Gabrielle McCabe '24 was the costume shop management intern at the Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival. This festival puts up professional musicals and plays every summer and is located at DeSales University. Her tasks included tracking budgets and costume pieces, handling purchases and returns, assisting during fittings, organizing dressing rooms, and working on small sewing projects. Gabrielle worked alongside the Costume Shop Manager and the costume shop to make sure costume pieces were altered, created, tracked, and ready for each performance.
"Working in this position was very fulfilling for me, and helped me better understand my personal strengths and interests in the theatre. I feel immense pride about what we created and the practical skills I was able to foster at PSF."
