Muhlenberg College

Nearly 80 Muhlenberg students are taking advantage of the college's wide variety of global study abroad experiences this spring.

With the help of the Office of Global Education, about 50% of Muhlenberg College students study abroad, through programs at more than 60 countries across different majors. Studies show that students who study abroad become more confident in their personal independence, and often benefit from better grades and a higher first job pay rate.

More than 90 Muhlenberg students are taking advantage of the college's wide variety of global study abroad experiences this spring.

In late May and early June, students who took the Muhlenberg Integrative Learning Abroad (MILA) course Climate Change & Sustainable Development in Bangladesh traveled to the country to see some of what they'd learned in action. The trip was led by the course's instructors, Professors of Political Science Jack Gambino and Mohsin Hashim. In fact, 56 percent of Muhlenberg graduates from the Class of 2019 studied abroad at least once during their college career, and between 250 and 300 students study abroad each year.
