Three Muhlenberg College Athletes Named All-Region in Baseball

Three members of the Muhlenberg baseball team earned All-Region 5 recognition this season. Sophomore outfielder Marc Quarrie was a first-team selection on both the D3baseball.com and American Baseball Coaches Association all-region squads. Senior Brendan Hughes made the D3baseball.com first team as a utility player, while graduate student outfielder Jack Kent earned second-team honors from the ABCA.

Muhlenberg College graduate student Noel House earned second-team All-America honors by placing 13th in the javelin at the NCAA Division III Track and Field Championships.

Three Muhlenberg College men's lacrosse players -- rising junior midfielder Jack Bill, defender Brendan Lavarra '25, and defensive midfielder Matthew Hochegger '25 -- earned repeat selections on the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association All-America team.

For the second straight season, five Muhlenberg players were named to the All-Centennial Conference men's lacrosse team. Sophomores Chase Kusko and Jack Bill landed on the first team, senior Brendan Lavarra was named to the second team, and senior Matthew Hochegger and sophomore Daniel Friedel received honorable mention.

Women's Lacrosse Places Four on All-CC Team

Following one of the most successful seasons in program history, four Muhlenberg players earned spots on the All-Centennial Conference women's lacrosse team. Seniors Jillian Kubikowski and Emily Vaughan made the first team, giving the Mules two first-team selections for the first time since 2018. Sophomore Emma Youngling was a second-team pick, and junior Abba Diglio received honorable mention.

Four Honored on All-Centennial Softball Team

Senior Kaya Mahy picked up one of the league's major honors; she was named Gold Glove of the Year as the top defensive player. Sophomore Skyla Campisi earned first-team honors as a utility player, Mahy and junior Sarah Hulsen landed on the second team, and graduate student Gillian Zack received honorable mention.

58 Inducted into Chi Alpha Sigma

Fifty-eight class of 2025 student-athletes have been inducted into Chi Alpha Sigma -- the national scholar-athlete society honoring collegiate student-athletes who have excelled in the classroom and in competition. Recommended by head coaches, Muhlenberg inductees must have a grade point average of at least 3.5 and must have earned at least one varsity intercollegiate sport letter while displaying good moral character.

For the second straight year, Muhlenberg graduate student and 2024 All-American, Noel House, won the javelin at the All-Atlantic Region Track and Field Championships.

52 Muhlenberg Athletes Named to Academic Honor Roll

Fifty-two Muhlenberg College student-athletes were recognized for their performance in the classroom and on the court, mat and track with their selection to the Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll for the winter 2024-25 season. To be named to the Academic Honor Roll, student-athletes must be sophomores or higher in class standing carrying at least a 3.40 cumulative grade-point average.

Muhlenberg basketball team senior Giovanni Rubino has been named to the D3hoops.com All-Region 5 second team. The all-region nod was the second for Rubino, who also earned second-team honors in 2023.

Franklin Named Scholar-Athlete of the Year

Boasting the highest cumulative GPA on the All-Centennial team, Muhlenberg College senior Andrew Franklin has been named Centennial Conference Wrestling Scholar-Athlete of the Year. Franklin is the first Mule men's wrestler ever to win the honor.

Muhlenberg College freshman Kelsey Gelb has qualified for the NCWWC Championships, scheduled for March 7-8 in Coralville, Iowa, by placing fourth at 160 at the Region 2 qualifier meet at East Stroudsburg.

Muhlenberg basketball players Drew Greene and Emily Unger have been named to the Lehigh Valley Small College Media Organization Scholar-Athlete Team. The team honors one player on each of the 11 area small college basketball teams for academic excellence.

Lamparelli Named Wrestler of the Week

Muhlenberg graduate student Joey Lamparelli has been named Centennial Conference wrestler of the week. Lamparelli went 3-0 with two wins against regionally ranked opponents at the John Reese Duals. After recording a 13-4 major decision against the eighth-ranked 125-pounder in Region 2 in the Oneonta match, he held his Ithaca opponent, the third-ranked wrestler in that region, without a point in a 5-0 decision. Lamaprelli, who is 13-4 this season, picked up a forfeit win against Keystone to complete the 3-0 day and move into a tie for fourth place on the program's all-time list with 94 career wins. The major decision against Oneonta gave Lamparelli 17 for his career, just three short of the school record. He ranks second in program history with 18 career technical falls.
